Holiday Belles 2012

Dec 8, 2012 was our second annual Holiday Belles event in support of Winnipeg Harvest. Over 100 women and a few men joined us for a fabulous evening of laughter, singing and entertainment. It was an amazing show featuring our own HMC expert/comedian/host Aisha Alfa, Actress Debbie Maslowsky who kindly replaced Jennifer Lyon when she came down with a throat infection as well as the incredible Sheena Grobb.

The event raised $1050 for Winnipeg Harvest plus 2 bins full of non persishable food items. Everyone left with a smile on their face and ready to celebrate the Holiday Season.

Thank you to all those who attended as well as Robinson Bath, Oakley Optical, Investment Pieces, Party Lights (Kim Kramchynsky), Fareconnect Manitoba (Cindy Gaudet), Cutting Loose Hair, Diana Chomichuk, Boutique Unique, Calabria market and wine store, Richard Marquez of Where to Look Photography as well as Dana Todd and Wendy McLucky for their support in making this a very special event.

Dragon Boat Festival Highlights

On Sept. 9, 10, 11, 2011 the Happy Monkey Club had 44 women on two different teams came together and competed in the annual Dragon Boat Festival in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. We had a weekend of fun, competition, fundraising and tons of laughs!! Both boats competed well finishing 4th and 7th overall in the women's division but more importantly together they combined to raise $25,000 for Canadian Cancer Society!!

Together we will make a difference.

HMC Women's Golf Classic

On Sept. 22, 2011 we hosted our first annual ladies golf classic with proceeds going to our fundraising efforts for the Canadian Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Research. We had a gorgeous sunny day out at Southside Golf Course and the fun continued.

We had a guest appearance from the Blue Man Group, the HMC Cinderella hole and many fun activities. A huge thank you to Dr. Keith Levin of Winnipeg Orthodontic Group for sponsoring the tournament as well as our numerous hole sponsors. ( Oakley Optical, Fabutan, Subway, Quarks, Xlab Interactive, Bison Women's Basketball, the Tooth family, Holland Financial, Culligan Water and Gaudet Family Travel)

Aisha Alfa you were outstanding as our MC for the night!

Once again we were able to combine fun, freindship and fundraising for another great Happy Monkey event. Proceeds from this event combined with our Dragon Boat efforts raised $25,000 for Canadian Cancer Society and a additional $1000 for Breast Cancer Research.
