The concept of Happy Monkey Club was created by three friends who recognized the need for women to take time for themselves, have an opportunity to meet others, participate in  events and learn in a fun, casual atmosphere. We appreciate the realities of today's busy woman and have created an online community to assist women on a daily basis lead a positive, balanced and happy life while giving back to the community.

The Happy Monkey Club is a way of putting a human face to a virtual site and linking the unique, talented women and businesses in your community in one place.

Meet the Owner

Carol is the mother of two very active kids and happily married to Randy, who is a wonderful and supportive husband. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I like to believe I live the motto of our province "Friendly Manitoba."

I started my career in the marketing field and realized very quickly that I was an entrepreneur at heart and started my own retail business in 1993. After 13 years in the retail world I sold my business and changed careers to become a professional fundraiser with Bison Sport at the University of Manitoba. While Bison Sport and supporting student athletes will always be a passion, my heart was still telling me that being an entrepreneur was where I should be.

Happy Monkey Club has become an opportunity for me to live everyday what I believe in being happy, healthy, having fun and making a difference in my community! My goal is to support and empower other women, in allowing them to live their best life while raising funds for charity.

Why Happy Monkey Club?

The name Happy Monkey Club was inspired by a little yellow monkey that I found at Toy R Us one day when my life wasn’t on the right track and I was not very happy.

The monkey had a big smile and “Happy” written on its’ chest.  Just looking at it instantly made me smile and feel better in the moment. It made me realize that being happy was a choice and a good one at that!  I used this monkey to inspire me to make changes in my life to be more positive, to smile and appreciate every day. Happy Monkey Club is all about that simple choice to smile, relax and engage in life. If a little plush monkey could help change my world I thought it could help change others too!
